Fuelling Systems
Our system design differs from the norm, utilising innovative dispensing methods, based upon gravity and suction, to eliminate some of the drawbacks of a traditional high-pressure, centrally pumped system.
Whether designing and installing our preferred ‘Airquick’ system or a traditional system, our design starts with the operator – incorporating ease of use and maintenance together with safety and cleanliness of operation.
We have evolved our designs in consultation with the Environment Agency and our systems fully comply with current regulations
The design brief of any system is to re-fuel a vehicle within a time that is acceptable to the train operating company. A specific installation takes account of the following factors:
- Type of vehicle and size of tank
- Number of tanks on train
- Permutations of vehicle configurations
- Number of trains to be re-fuelled per shift; number of shifts per day
- Number of personnel likely to be involved in the re-fuelling
- Inventory control requirement at off-load and dispensing points
The inverter driven centrifugal fuel booster pump provides fuel at low pressure to each of the dispensers ensuring high flow rates are maintained during multi-point fuelling activity.
